Shopping At Old Town
With over 75 specialty shops along Old Town's brick-lined streets it's easy to find a unique gift for yourself or someone else. We found shops with a mix of souvenirs, resort wear, sports apparel, jewelry, and old-fashioned collectibles. What was most interesting about the selection of stores is some offered gift items we had never seen anywhere else like the whimsical puppets at Hairy Gibbons "Puppet Store," (407-397-1149). For those looking to unwind and be pampered while the rest of the family enjoy the rides and attractions there's also the Time for Pleasure Day Spa, (407-925-9376). Of course the kids loved the rides and the games in the arcade, but they also enjoyed watching how the taffy was pulled, watching the Candle Maker create his wax masterpieces, and exploring the petrified rock forest.
Dining At Old Town
As a child I couldn't wait for Sunday's after Church when our grandfather would take us down to the A&W for a Root Beer float. Your family can savor the old-fashioned flavor of root beer floats and other tasty treats while at Old Town at the A&W All American Food restaurant. Whether you're in the mood for a quick bite to eat or prefer to sit down and relax there are a number of delicious places to eat in Old Town.
The signature prime rib at Damon's Grill is great, or try a few slices of pizza or calzone at Flipper's Pizzeria. Want a cool drink while waiting for your meal? Then visit The Tropical Breeze Restaurant & Daiquiri Bar. The teriyaki chicken with a side of fried rice at Spring Roll Chinese Restaurant is very tasty, and there are also gyro's available at the Great Pretzel Co. and Deli. Save a bit of room for dessert at the Old Town Ice Cream Co., Kissimmee Popcorn, Old Town Candy Store, and The Gourmet Nut Hut.
